The old saying “there’s no substitute for experience” serves as the metaphorical backbone that supports Richard’s skills as a lawyer.
Richard graduated from NKU, Salmon P. Chase College of Law, as non-traditional law student, where he was a two-time regional finalist for the school’s Client Counseling team. Richard has also been admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of KY, 6th Circuit and runs his own boutique law firm in downtown Lexington where he specializes in Real Estate Law, Entertainment Law and Business Law.
As a licensed real estate broker (LOM Properties, LLC.), Richard has been in the commercial real estate industry for over 30 years. As a pinned CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) and a Licensed Attorney, he’s the only real estate attorney in the region that can make such a claim.
In the early 90’s Richard found himself working in the motion picture business (Beverly Hills, CA.) as an Agent Trainee for the vaunted William Morris Agency, and later, worked with in-house counsel, Norman Aladjam at Writers & Artists Agency. In his 30s, Richard made the move to journalism and spent some 16 years, in several markets, working as a TV News Anchor and Reporter–eventually winding up his career at LEX 18 NBC.
In addition to running his own firm, Richard also serves as 859-Divorce Law Group’s Operations Manager. From the nuances of daily operations to the Firm’s long-term business strategy, Richard’s diversified business experience has been crucial in helping the Firm reach its goals and expectations
Having recently moved to Nicholasville, Richard is also very much involved in his community as a member the Lexington Rotary, Lexington Club and as a Kentucky Colonel.
